Trade winds result from the permanent presence of robust high pressure systems situated in North of the Tropic of Cancer . They blow globally of southeast in our hemisphere and can be supported during the southern winter (from 12 to 25 knots). They drops down during summer, leaving  place to variable winds, in a warmer and wetter atmosphere with a cyclonic risk.

The spot of Le Morne works in East and southeast wind, rarely in South wind. This spot benefits a particular aerology: the Venturi effect generated by the rmountain speed sharply the wind .We  have generally between 5 and 10 knots more of  announced forecasts, dependent on the wind direction.

In Mauritius, we have 2 major seasons inverted with regard to north hemisphere (Your summers are our winters) .Temperatures and period of sunshine slightly change between summer and southern winter. We are indeed far from frizzed temperatures of Europe... The southern summer (from December till April) is the warm and wet season during which it is raining a lot, it is the ideal period for beach afternoon and idleness (Careful with sun, use a respectful solar cream of the coral, without chemical filters). The southern winter from May till November is the cold and dry season and the season of wind, it is in this period when you will have perfect statistics of wind  for your kite trip.
